CoatAndScarf.jpg

Hi, I'm Allen Groue

And I am a dedicated business leader offering a wide range of research, writing, and marketing needs. I’m ready to bring my talents to your team.

In 2014, I received the Department of Defense’s Boren Fellowship, which sponsored me to spend a year in Indonesia conducting academic research into credit card security and studying Bahasa Indonesia. Following this experience, I continued in government as a contractor with Booz Allen Hamilton working on defense projects with the Joint Chiefs of Staff, National Language Service Corps, Global Threat Mitigation Program, and Air Force Culture and Language Center.

Prior to my time in government, I lived the life of a globetrotting academic, earning degrees in economics, international relations, and business. This journey took me everywhere from Arkansas to Australia.

I am now back in Denver, Colorado, and available for local and remote work.

I enjoy Chinese food, punk rock, and the Houston Astros.

PROFICIENCIES

One thing I have loved about my career is that my wide range of working experiences have given me the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills accross multiple disciplines. I'm a voracious learner who is always looking for a new talent to master.

Project Management

Over multiple years working with the National Language Service Corps, I oversaw 22 projects providing surge language services for the Department of Defense. These projects included gathering client requirements, communicating pricing and sales information, identifying talent, providing orientation for employees on assignment, and closing out projects with clients and employees. These projects were with 17 clients within the U.S. federal government and included 45 linguists. In all of the projects I led, clients reported high satisfaction with the talent I identified and the support service I provided them.

U.S.-BASED EMPLOYMENT

Who I've worked for

Day in and day out, I’m constantly taking on new and interesting projects that help me build my personal brand. From industry-related tasks to unusual and sporadic opportunities, each experience I’ve had has turned me into who I am today. Have a look at everything I’ve done, and send any questions my way.
